The Lillypilly Team

Helen and Tim are the proud owners of Lillypilly Pre-school, Forster. Helen is a tertiary qualified teacher with two bachelor degrees in both Education and Early Childhood. Helen has vast experience in the child care industry and is a committed and passionate teacher. She has a strong focus on music, building social skills and the environment. She draws on her 14 years child care experience to bring some very special ideas to the pre-school and has created a beautiful, happy and fun-focused environment. Tim is a former police officer with broad experience in child protection, leadership and customer service. He has business qualifications and is the business manager at the pre-school. His main focus is on customer service and family relations, although he is also completing a Certificate III in children services. Helen and Tim have strong family values and have two beautiful children. They have lived in and around the Forster and Great lakes areas for many years.

Linda is the room leader for the 2-3 year old children. Linda has an associate diploma in Social Science (Child Studies), complimented by 17 years experience in child care. Linda is a mother of two and strongly believes in providing a loving and caring environment for the children in her care. Linda comes from a wonderful family environment and has a special focus on social skills and literacy and always has a spot on her lap to read to the children. Linda has been at this centre for over four years and has built strong relationships with our current families. Linda is dearly loved by everyone at the pre-school and is highly regarded for her ability to settle children at rest time and in transitioning new children into the centre. Linda 'gets on with the job' and always displays a positive and caring attitude.

Casey Kent

Casey in the room leader of our 3-5 year old children. She is a passionate teacher who goes above and beyond in every regard complimented by many years experience and a Diploma in Children's Services. Casey is a keen artist which is clearly reflected in her ever-changing wall displays and children's activities. She takes pride in our pre-school and the children in it which is reflected in the loving environment she helps to create. Casey enjoys teaching the children yoga and other relaxation techniques, which supports her strong social skill and self awareness program. She goes out of her way to make every child feel special and tailors her weekly program to fit in with every family and each child's interests. Casey generates a wonderful sense of belonging for all of our children and families.

Katrina has been a wonderful addition to the Lillypilly Team and is now undertaking a Certificate III traineeship. She has a bright and energetic attitude which is reflected in her eagerness to learn and build on her existing skills. Katrina has two children of her own and two years experience in the industry. She loves children of all ages and has a special interest in children with additional needs. Katrina's work ethic is of the highest standard and she always goes out of her way to make every child feel at home. Katrina is especially supportive in enhancing children's social and emotional development. She is an integral part of the Lillypilly team and committed to establishing herself as a highly regarded child care worker. Every day Katrina shows that she is a passionate and caring person with a keen interest in children with special needs.

Sally Sally Botham

Sally is the most recent addition to the Lillypilly team after joining us in July 2010. She holds a certificate III in Children Studies and brings an exciting and energetic personality to the centre. Sally has recently moved to the area having worked in different child care environments including large and small centres in Northern NSW and also worked in the Whitsunday Islands running a children's creche'. Sally assists Casey in the 3-5 year old room and has embraced her new position by demonstrating her creative flair and dancing ability on a daily basis. She makes a special effort to know all of our families on a first name basis and has been recognised for her excellent child portfolios.
